Produced with Sangiovese, Syrah, Colorino, Ciliegiolo and Mammolo grapes which are handpicked in our vineyards in Montepulciano. The grapes are selected on a double sorting table before and after separation from their stems, followed by a soft pressing that allows the grape juice to flow naturally into concrete casks, where fermentation and a prolonged maceration of the skins occur. The malolactic fermentation and 12 months of ageing happens in tonneaux and barriques. After blending in these barrels the wine continues its ageing process in concrete tanks for a further 6 months. The wine is then bottled without filtration, and placed on the market after a further ageing period of at least 6 months.
Uncork a few hours before serving. Serve at a temperature of approximately 18° C.
Sensory characteristics: Deep ruby red color with hints of black cherry. Bright and inviting aromas of red cherry and blueberry. A dominant taste of fleshy cherry and blackberry is enriched by a delicate hint of black pepper with smooth tannins.
