Rosso di Montepulciano 2015

Harvest 2015 D.O.C.
Production area: Commun of Montepulciano in sub Argiano and S. Savino.
Grapes: Prugnolo Gentile and Canaiolo Soil: clayey, sandy, with shallow substrate of Tuff stones.
Cultivation system: organic farming without the use of fertilizers, with alternating row (one wiht grass and one extirpated). Training system: Guyot with about 3300 vinesJha with 51 /12 buds per vine
Exposition: South-East. Average yield per hectare: 30 hl.
Altitude: 320 mt sea level. Age of the vines: 36 years.
Microclimate: The year 2015 was characterized by a rainy spring and pretty cold, dry and moderately hot summers, while in September there were good temperature and low rainfall.
Harvest: by hand in the second week of September 2015, in boxes of 15 kg.
Vinification: the grapes are selected on a double sorting table before and after the rasping, following a soft pressing, flowed by gravity into stainless steel tanks where alcoholic fermentation takes place, but the subsequent malolactic fermentation took place in the vat truncated cone in which the wine remained sur lies for 12 months.
Bottling: without filtration and fining of fine sediment entering the market after aging in bottle for at least 6 months.
Alcohol: 13,5 % Vol
Service Temperature: 18° C

Sensory analysis:
View: ruby red.
Smell: scents of violet, raspberry, cherry and undergrowth.
Taste: full and rich, with a final warm of vanilla and soft and elegant tannins.
